Iran to hold 2nd oil refining forum
The 2nd Iran OilRefining Forum (IOR) will be held in an attempt to increase
cooperation among companies active in the oil industry.
Advancesin residue upgrading technology and extra heavy crude oil processing will be among the major topics of discussion at the event.
An exhibition introducing the latest developments in oil refining will run concurrently with the forum.
Organized by the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC),
the event is directed towards promoting cooperation between various countries and
firms on the implementation of energy projects.
Iranian Oil Minister Gholam Hossein Nozari and Managing Director of NIORDC Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh will deliver speeches at the event.
The forum is scheduled to be held at IRIB's Convention Center in Tehran on October 11-12.
Representatives from over 80 foreign and 200 Iranian companies active in the oil industry participated in the 1st Iran Oil Refining Forum in early
2007.
